We’ve got some fun stuff coming up this week, including the Corn Maze at the Melon Shack all week long, and the Swing and Blues Workshop Weekend, which begins Friday!
We’ve got Science Pub tonight, featuring Dee Denver of the OSU College of Science, talking about “The Dharma in DNA.” Tomorrow you can meet author Jake Kaida, and coming up Thursday the Beavers take on Utah. For non-sports fans, Thursday is also the first “Corvallis Arts Walk,” a new monthly art tour that’ll guide folks around and through various art installations and galleries in Corvallis.
Friday we’ve got Matt the Electrician and Tim Easton performing at Harris Bridge Vineyard and Pigs on the Wing at the Majestic. Also on Friday is Word MOB V, the Benton Center’s poetry slam, featuring local poets and an open mic.
The Runaway Pumpkin Half Marathon is happening Saturday, along with the Galleria, a great place to get your holiday shopping started, and 2 Towns Ciderhouse’s Harvest Party, where you can go celebrate after you’re all shopped out.
The Corvallis Public Library is gearing up for NaNoWriMo at their Plot Planning Party this Saturday, too, and on Sunday, you can meet author Pete Fromm at Grass Roots.
